The LASIK Surgery

The procedure is painless. It takes only 6 minutes per eye. You may feel pressure on your eye, but it will be light. A topical anesthetic will be administered so that the sensation in the surgical area is numbed. The great thing about this procedure is that you can remain fully awake and conscious, so there is no prolonged anesthesia recovery afterward. 

Dr. Walton creates a flap in the corneal tissue, which is folded back so that the underlying tissue can be accessed. Using a laser, Dr. Walton re-shapes the corneal tissue to correct the vision disorder. The flap is laid back over the eye in its proper position. The flap does not require sutures. It naturally heals as you recover from LASIK.
